Wow, it's been a while! It has been a crazy couple of months, crazy enough to miss the annual knit crochet blogger week, and bad enough to not really knit at all. Seriously, no WIPs or FOs at all to show today. Part of the busi-ness is the rush of scientific conferences during the spring. Thanks to some strategic planning, I got to visit another LYS between boring lectures, this time in New Orleans.

 

Garden District Needlework Shop is a lovely store on pretty Magazine St.

A lot of the stuff is for needlepoint, which I don't know how to do, but based on the pretty little twists and bobs of colorful threads, I was sorely tempted.

 

Of course, there was yarn too!

There's a big selection, from high-end to low-end. Oh, and it was buy one, get one free. Eek!

I used to have a smaller version of these wire shelves during college. Ah, wonderful wire shelves that click clack together! Mine did not come with a gorgeous chandelier however.

 A great bonus is the huge selection of pattern books at the front of the store.

At this point, I'd show off the great booty from this shop, but one of the yarns is going to be a gift very soon, so it's a big secret for now. More pretty pics next time!
